Audiometric Rooms

All audiometric rooms are designed and manufactured to a set of Australian or international standards.  These rooms provide an optimal level of a reduced ambient sound, producing a lab condition, to perform a range of hearing tests in a variety of applications, including:

  • Paediatric
  • Adults in hospitals
  • Screening for work safe tests
  • Understanding more about the nature of hearing loss
  • VROA

We also can customise them to suit your needs.

The biggest challenge of meeting all standards is that the rooms must be tested at the final point of installation, meaning that samples cannot be sent off to a lab to test.

Our audio rooms are designed in-house, with expert knowledge, made from premium materials and prefabricated in our manufacturing facility, reducing the time it takes to install a room onsite – ultimately minimising any downtime. Once installed, our audiometric rooms meet and exceed all standards, which is why we can confidently claim that we are the best in the industry.

What sets ADF Industries apart from other audio room manufacturers, is that we test everything independently. Once the room is installed, we hire consultants who will test every aspect of the booth – every booth receives a report to ensure it meets Australian (AS1269.4) or International (IS08253) standards.

Not only is ADF Industries the leader in manufacturing and installing new audio booths, but they can retrofit all existing booths to meet new standards.

Micro booth – The Micro Booth is the portable, relocatable solution for acoustic hearing testing. ADFcan pack and ship the pre-assembled booths on a 4 x 4 foot pallet to your door anywhere in the world. These single person rooms are commonly used for work screenings, pre-employment scans, and in medical clinics where hearing testing is performed.

All Microbooths are built to the Australian Standards AS/NZS1269.4: 2014 Occupational Noise Management and the design has been independently laboratory certified.

Project Case Studies

Design manufacture and install six audiometric testing rooms.  All rooms were for different purposes for paediatric testing and all rooms had to be to the following standards.  Australian Standards ISO-8253-2-2009, Acoustic Audiometric Test Methods.  This standard had never been achieved before for ADFI and these rooms all passed exceptionally.

An audiometric room is designed through a set of standards – either Australian or international – which provides an optimal lab condition to perform a range of hearing tests in a variety of applications, including: · Paediatric · Adults in hospitals · Screening for work safe tests · Understanding more about the nature of hearing loss . VROA The biggest challenge of meeting international standards is that the rooms must be tested at the final point of installation, meaning that samples cannot be sent off to a lab to test. Our audio rooms are designed in-house, with expert knowledge, made from premium materials and prefabricated in our warehouses, reducing the time it takes to install a room onsite – ultimately minimising any downtime. Once installed, our audiometric rooms meet and exceed all standards, which is why we can confidently claim that we are the best in the industry. What sets ADF Industries apart from other audio room manufacturers, is that we test everything independently. Once the room is installed, we hire consultants who will test every aspect of the booth – every booth receives a report to ensure it meets industry standards. Not only is ADF the industry leader in manufacturing and installing new audio booths, but they can retrofit all existing booths to meet new standards.

Design, manufacture and install twenty one audiology rooms, the single largest sum of rooms in one building in Australia.  All rooms were for different purposes from studies on equipment to the testing of patients.

All rooms had different standards to which all were achieved.
