ADF History

We were first established in 1991 as a sheet-metal jobbing workshop. Since then, we have expanded our offering to include several highly specialised fields such as industrial acoustics and audiometric room construction.

But the real story of how our family got started in this business begins much earlier…

Overview History

In 1968, John Edward Davies, a fresh-faced 16-year-old began his apprenticeship in a sheet metal shop known as Frigrite.

When the workshop downsized in the early 70’s, John’s position was made redundant – so he decided to start his own company and that’s where the passion and innovation begins. Armed with a handful of former Frigrite employees, rich with experience and know-how, together they all formed All Staff Air Conditioning was founded in 1974

In 1974 the same year John married his beautiful wife, Mary forming there best partnership.

Throughout the 1980s, John and Mary introduced their two children into the world, Gabhriel and Jono, and also established Davnor Trailers with John’s colleague and friend, Adrian O’Connor.

Building custom boat trailers in the family garage in Dingley Village, John built many of the important friendships and foundations that elevated him in the industry.

1988 arrived and John officially registered All-Duct Australia as a one-stop duct manufacturing shop.

In 1991, All-Duct Fabrications was created to expand on the growing need for total fabrication solutions.

John’s legacy continues today with ADF Industries, where his blood, sweat, and tears formed the foundation for a company that thrives on challenges and stands by their word.

We are still very much a family business. Jono has been running the business since 2010, Mary is still on our board and Gabriel’s son, Alfie, while just a young tucker, is very much a part of the business too.

We have established ourselves as trusted industry leaders across general engineering, industrial acoustics, gas handling and audiometric rooms – all while offering viable turn-key solutions, so our clients have the expertise and materials necessary to get a complete solution under one roof.
